Training Steps tuition is less than our Bright Start Medical Transcription Course. Training Steps is shorter in length than Bright Start and has specific requirements designed to satisfy the needs of clinic transcription with multi-specialties. We've offered this program upon employer request since 1996. Training Steps enrollment will end January 31st. Enrollment by January 31st is for classes starting February 1st or February 15th. It will be replaced with Bright Start at that time.

Here is a list of the medical specialties covered in this section: Dictated voice files consist of chart notes, letters, office evaluations, history and physicals, consultations, emergency department reports, preoperative notes, and discharge summaries. Also included in the study are these medical conditions or illnesses:
Online Computer Technology for Medical Transcription This class teaches you to save and name files voice files, upload and download MT, how to store encrypted files on your computer, how to make and name folders, create transcription "shortcuts", customize your keyboard and toolbar for transcription and how to make more money in less time. After finishing Online Computer Tech, the Student will be prepared for Mentored Internship.
Mentored InternshipNo education in medical transcription is complete without Internship. Training Steps' Internship is approximately 6 weeks of full-time training. Internship completes your education and prepares you to be employed upon completion. You will mentor with a professional transcriptionist(s) and you are required to complete the work promptly. You will quickly learn to produce work at a 95% accuracy level (industry standard). You have graduated from Training Steps upon administrative and employer acceptance of your work. You are then ready to go to work full or part-time from home. Med Workshops is State licensed. Med Workshops is proud to be a long-time member of the AHDI and AAMT.
