Medical transcription training with Med Workshops.  Training Steps is the most popular option for students who have been referred to Med Workshops by a specific employer.  You will receive instruction specifically created to meet the needs of a cooperating employer. 

Training Steps tuition is less than our Bright Start Medical Transcription Course.  A person referred to Med Workshops by an employer will save $460.00 on tuition if the program is available at the time of enrollment. Training Steps is shorter in length than Bright Start and has specific requirements designed to satisfy the needs of clinic transcription with multi-specialties. Offered since 1996. We don't have open enrollment for our employer-referred course - Training Steps.  This course is only available if you have been referred by an employer we help staff on a regular basis. Training Steps brings students together with the employers who referred them and are actively employing new graduates. 

Where could you find an employer-referred program including Internship with the employer, for this price?  No where we know of.  This is why Training Steps Medical Transcription Training is so popular.

Online Computer Technology for Medical Transcription
 

This class teaches you to save and name files voice files, upload and download MT, how to store encrypted files on your computer, how to make and name folders, create transcription "shortcuts", customize your keyboard and toolbar for transcription and how to make more money in less time.

After finishing Online Computer Tech, the Student will be prepared for Mentored Internship.  

Mentored Internship

No education in medical transcription is complete without Internship.  Training Steps' Internship is approximately 6 weeks of full-time training.  Internship completes your education and prepares you to be employed upon completion.  You will mentor with a professional transcriptionist(s) and you are required to complete the work promptly.  You will quickly learn to produce work at a 95% accuracy level (industry standard).  You have graduated from Training Steps upon administrative and employer acceptance of your work.  You are then ready to go to work full or part-time from home.   No other school offers an internship to all students who enroll. Why, because it limits enrollment and must be organized in small, personal groups while online. Note- this is a real internship not a "virtual or computerized, artificial externship".
